at the end of the sea to sky...

Whistler, the future home of the 2010 Olympics. I had never been and now I have and I must say there is a lot of capitalism on God’s creation. Whistler has really grown in the past 10-20 years. There is a lot of money and many people from all over the world. All in all the weekend was alright. We did a bit of a photo scavenger hunt on Friday and it rained on Saturday and so we just sort of hung out. Sunday came and we went to the MB church in town, one of two. With a revolving door of people church planting can be hard. An open door was extended to us Trekkers to come back and help out with the church ministry.

This next weekend we will be par-taking in a silent retreat. We will be having a speaker this week talking about hearing from God, should be interesting. I am looking forward to spending time alone with God. I hope clarity and direction will be something God and I can talk about. On September 20 they are planning to announce the teams, please pray. I am trying my hardest not to worry about this.

It is fall and yet it doesn’t come with the promise of snow so it feels a little strange. The leaves are just starting to change and fall to the ground. They are so big here in the west. As the weather changes I trust that I too am changing into more of the child that God wants me to be.
