the amazing race among other things

The Ssaturday of last we all took part in "The amazing Trek" (just like the amazing race). Anyway we were split up into our teams that we are heading out in. Team India had a rough start and trailed for the morning and early afternoon but then we started taking the lead. In the end we won. It was a great day, I was skeptical at first but our team had fun together and there were no hard feelings at the end of the day. We shared laughs and some other delightful moments that you just had to be there for.

Other things that are going on right now... less then a week and a half till we leave. The other day we spoke to one of the missionaries on Skype. It was great to put a voice to a face. The reality is starting to sink in. We leave Monday evening October 30 out of Seattle. We arrive October 31 early in the morning so a long night, oh well. We have a commisioning on Friday October 27 at the CBC chapel at 7pm so if anyone is in the area, please come.

Ask of me. This week we are having a 24-7 prayer room here at the Mark centre. In the last while there has been quite a bit of speaking on the topic of asking of God. This has brought a lot to ponder as right now there are many things that I could ask for. Also the idea of living from the perspective of being at judgment day and you are in the judgment seat. Living life in light of that day and determining what is truly important. True prayer comes from desire. To be filled with desire that is so consuming that all you can do is pray would be amazing. God wants to be asked. So what would you ask for in light of that day?

Hey Nicole,
I'm Simon Friesen's cousin Ty.
I don't know if I read right but are you gonna be in India soon?
If so I thought I'd let you know that the former president Jimmy Carter Work Project with "Habitat For Humanity" is happenin October 29th to Novemeber 3rd there... in I think Maharashtra. If you find yourself near by there in your travels at this time check it out. My Dad will be there, heading up the Canada house right beside Mr. Carter's!!! I don't know if there is a possibility of getting involved but it might be interesting to just stand and watch for a few minutes.
Take it easy, safe travels!
