Skin Boarding in October

It is now the month of October and it has noticeably gotten colder,especially in the mornings. However, this did not play into the plans of the Sunday of last. A few of us headed off to White Rock to the beach. I had only been to the water once since being here in BC. We left early in the morning after a stop at timmy's and the gas station we headed out. It had to be early because that is when the tide was out. The objective of the morning was to Skin Board. Us girls had brought some books and were just looking forward to the outing. The guys had done this before and were excited to board before heading off to Lima, us girls had never done it before and were looking forward to just hanging out at the ocean and watching the boys play and hurt themselves (band-aids had been packed). Once we saw how much fun it was we wanted in on it. Off to the bushes to change, keeping a look out for all the folks walking their dogs at the beach. It took a while to catch the hang of it. I biffed it hard a couple times but had a lot of fun. It was great to just hang out and laugh. Sandy and wet we all became but it was worth it. The next day the muscles and bruises were starting to show but oh well the memories were great.
