Last night we had our first home cooked meal. I tried my hand at naan, a type of bread as well as fruit salad and a egg skillet, I do believe it went over well. Right before we were about to eat the boys came over and give us some delightful flowers, along with a lovely card. Learning to live together yet apart is going to be an experiance.
One of the main things we are doing this month is language study. Monday thru Thursday, Hindi lessons. Our teacher was a pastor with the Mennonite conferance in central India for 16 years. So this is a neat connection. Learning Hindi is a challenge but we hope to learn much. We travel around mostly in rickshaws and so in effort to save money at times we all hop into one. It's an adventure. I am learning there are others ways to drive...
My senses are over loaded right now. It will take some time to sort it all out. I am on the other side of the world, in a physical sense, culturaly and in almost every other way you can think of. Learning my role here will take some time. God's grace in this area is very much needed. For myself and others. There will be many adventures and stories to share...
