To say goodbye is hard, to say hello is also hard. The ending of something significant in ones life should come with mixed emotion. But greeting people you have not experienced life with for a while also comes with mixed emotion. People change, both for the good and bad. I've changed. Relationships change, as the people involved change so does the relationship.
We are back at the Mark Center for our period of debrief. This is a time to reflect all that God has done, re-enter Canada and share with the other teams our stories and experiences. I don't believe I have fully let myself realize that I am back in the West. There are days when India seems like a dream but I know that dream was real.
Some interesting events of the past weeks, both happy and sad.
- Had the opportunity to stay a couple days with a friend and her family in India.
- Went swimming at the Canadian Embassy in India.
- My camera was stolen at our Goodbye party. I insured my camera, which allows for a new one.
- Had to say Goodbye.
- Got to say Hello.
- Luggage was delayed for a number of days
- Jet Lag.
- River Rafting on the Chilliwack river.
- Seeing my sister here in BC.
- Listening to Jazz on a Sunday evening.
- Am wearing pants and long selves because it is cold!
There will be more to come. There is family to see, friends to visit, weddings to attend, Hawaii to travel to & moving out... the journey continues.
